Description

Up for auction is a test pressing of the 12" EP "Out of Step" by the legendary punk/HC band MINOR THREAT from Washington, D.C.  This test pressing comes with a hand silkscreened sleeve.  According to the website "CollectorScum.com" there are only supposedly 35 copies of this sleeve in existence!  Notice that the pic on that site is exactly like the one I'm offering here.  To see for yourself:  http://www.collectorscum.com/wyft/hc/mt_oos.html   About this record:  I bought this from Lyle Presler (guitarist for Minor Threat) in the late 80's.  He ran a Goldmine (the way us old collectors used to find records before eBay!) auction under an assumed name.  Actually I was more interested in the "In My Eyes" ("Gary Cousins" sleeve) and in the end, I won both.  But as it turned out, after I sent him the payment he called me and told me that he "lost" the "In My Eyes" and that he would refund my money.  So I got a the "Out of Step" and check!  About the condition:  The sleeve is pretty much near mint, save for the tiny beginning of a split on the top, hole-side corner.  The vinyl is NM on side A, side B has some visible circular scratches on it, and between the songs one ("SOB Story") and two ("No Reason") there is an audible clicking.  It does not skip.  Even with these minor imperfections, this is a real piece of real punk history, (probably never to be seen again) and it was originally owned by one of the members of the band.
