Here on offer is one of Australia’s progressive psych jewels in the crown albums.  Dave Miller and Leith Corbett issued this killer progressive album entitled Reflections of a Pioneer way back in 1971.  Definitely one of the very best and earliest of Australia’s few progressive releases.  This album is undoubtedly one of the most difficult and rarest of all of the progressive albums to find.  Collecting daily for over 20 years I have only seen this album three times.

It was issued on the Spin label SEL934008 and had Dave Miller on guitars, Leith Corbett on bass, Mike McCormac on drums, Terry Gascoigne on drums, Alan Sandow on drums (Sherbet!!!), Garrie Ferguson on drums, Robert Turner on percussion.

CONDITION

Cover – The odd crease and ring wear particularly on the back cover.  Tatty edges and writing on the back cover.  Good plus plus.

Vinyl – Definitely not mint!  Has a warp which did not affect play on my turntable.  Has several light to moderate marks resulting in background noise.  The label has a sticker on it.  In describing the audio quality the background noise was definitely a nuisance however this album is saved by its inspired and intricate acid prog music.  No jumps or repeats when I played it but each sound system is different.  I was using a brand new stylus.  A reasonable gap filler but good luck finding another copy of this rare gem.  Fair plus plus plus.

Australian collectors would be aware of how good this album is and its rarity.  I have listed the album with a modest starting price based on the condition of the vinyl.  A ‘must have’ album for any collector of Australian progressive albums.
