A stunning 11 LP set of the complete studio recordings of Miles Davis and Gil Evans. This Mosaic Release (MQ10-164) was a limited edition in 1996 (only 5000) with each set numbered. Each LP is 180g top audio vinyl. And the music? The Penguin Guide to Jazz describes it as "utterly sandbaggingly wonderful". And it is. This is all the recordings, including alternative takes from the 1957/58 studio sessions which produced albums such as Sketches of Spain, Quiet Nights, Miles Ahead and Porgy and Bess. Wonderful.
