Description
Miles Davis Quintet
Up for your Consideration is this 1956 Used 33-1/3 LP Jazz Album by “Miles Davis” titled “"Workin' With The Miles Davis Quintet"” Originally released in 1956 on Prestige Record Label …with a product number of Original Prestige pressing, #7166…Mono- Pressing LP Vinyl: in VG+ to VG++ Condition... a real solid play. With Deep Groove (an indent in the label about 1/2-inch from the edge of the label, which on SOME labels is associated with very early or first pressings) label Reads “Prestige Records Inc, 203 South Washington Ave. Bergenfield, NJ " Run off or Dead Wax reads “RVG” inscribed on both sides… .
Columbia 1355 scarce '59 MONO, deep groove pressing. With John Coltrane, Paul Chambers, Red Garland & Philly Joe Jones. Both labels are in excellent "newer" condition with no writing, stickers or any unusualwear at all. The spindle holes look great! A higher gloss finish with some light surface scratches describes the vinyl... I test played this record two ways. The first was on an old model turntable with a heavier needle setting and it played through with very minimal surface noise, no heavy pops or skips. Then I test played it on a Bang & Olufsen turntable with a very light needle weight and there is a light touch of audible noise/hiss in the quiet. This being an early "Prestige" release... means that this should be played at a heavier needle weight setting. The album cover has a tiny piece of tape protecting the top and bottom opening spines... about 1" of tape. The overall coloration to the cover is very good with no ring wear, writing or stickers (see pictures). If you have any questions... please feel free to contact me.
