Description
Here we have for offer a rare Radio Station Only White Label Promo of Miles Davis' 1968 classic "Nefertiti" in MONO on Columbia Records. Although this was given a mono catalog number at the time, Columbia had begun to phase out mono records, and only a stereo version was ever issued to the public. But radio stations got this special promo version in mono. The mono version of this album has never been reissued or released digitally. The only way to get it is this record!!!
Jacket is in VG+ shape, with some faint ringwear starting to form on the front, but nothing ugly or distracting. No splits or tears, and all promo stickers are intact. All pictures look good and text is legible. Spine is straight and legible. Record is in VG+ condition. Has a lot of hairline marks on both sides, probably from the old paper sleeve (which has been replaced with a Mofi-style rice paper inner sleeve), but no deep scratches or marks. Record is still very glossy. Has some occasional surface noise, but nothing too intrusive. If you play this with a mono cartridge or sum it to mono using a y cable, most of that noise would probably be eliminated, and this would play even better. But as is, it sounds great. No groove wear or inner groove distortion either. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer copy (at least not at this price!).
Here's a chance to own a super rare version of a jazz classic at a great price. CURRENTLY ONE OF THE ONLY COPIES ON EBAY (if not THE only copy!!!).
