Description

Here's a masterpiece MILES DAVIS LP, KIND OF BLUE originally pressed in 1959.  Widely regarded as one of the greatest albums in Jazz history.  This is the COLUMBIA 2 Eye MONO with the "GUARANTEED HIGH FIDELITY" at the bottom label.  This copy is a 1963 stereo pressing.  This copy is a MISPRINT copy.  The folks at Columbia must have been high when you see all the mistakes they made on this particular pressing.  They are listed below.  There are nowith no spindle marks on the labels.  There are a couple finger marks on the labels that discolor them a bit.  The cover is also in really nice condition with great front cover colors.  The bottom right and left corners has 3/4" dings.  At some point, there must have been a price sticker in front of Miles right eye, and they pulled offside of the cover paper.  A few very small, almost insignificant,  handling bends around the spine.  Back cover is very nice with a very slight amount of toning from age.  The top seam took a couple small hits, and the bottom seam shows some very light shelf wear.  The VINYL is fully glossy and gorgeous looking.  It plays VG with a beautiful music sound, but with surface sounds. 

  • This 2nd pressing has a different label font, different matrix stamp and has a 4 on the back cover, bottom right corner.
Specific to this version:
• On front and back cover: Julian "Cannonball" Adderley is misspelled "Adderly"
• On the back cover: Tracks B1 and B2 reversed (but are in correct order on label)
• On the labels: No "CBS" in small black letters under "Columbia" at the top
• On the labels: "Kind Of Blue" is in bold font and in one line
• On the labels: The track titles are center justified
