Description
Out-of-print (10) LP boxset from Miles Davis titled "The Complete Miles Davis Plugged Nickel Sessions" released by Mosaic Records (MQ10-158) in 1995. This set is a low numbered 0825 of 5,000 limited edition pressing on audiophile 180 gram quality vinyl. Has 31 tracks recorded at The Plugged Nickel in Chicago, December 22 & 23, 1965. The quintet featured Miles on trumpet, Herbie Hancock on piano, Ron Carter on bass, a very young Tony Williams on drums and Wayne Shorter on tenor sax who energized the band into playing at high performance levels...very exciting interaction between band members. The quality of these recordings proved to be one of the very best in jazz history. All vinyl records are in plastic dust sleeves. Comes with a 12-page booklet with photos and well-written, informative details about the formation of this quintet and the Plugged Nickel sessions. As you well know, all of Mosaic's releases are of the utmost quality and taste.
Details of the condition: All labels are in EXCELLENT/NEAR MINT condition with a few labels having light spindle marks. Vinyl records were played with great care on a high quality turntable and condition ranges from MINT- to NEAR MINT...very slight signs of handling.
Booklet is in NEAR MINT condition.
Outer box is in NEAR MINT condition. Very clean!
