Description

Debut Records was founded in 1952 by bassist Charles Mingus. “Blue Moods” was recorded on July 9, 1955 and released on Debut Records DEB-120. In 1960 the Debut catalog was acquired by a Danish company and Debut recordings were subsequently reissued on the Fantasy label. This is a rarely seen 1977 Fantasy reissue packaged in an original 1960 Debut Records (Denmark) album jacket. One of Mile’s best early group recordings. Photos show details and condition of the actual album.

Album Description

·      VINYL- NM: Record has never been played. A visual review of both sides shows no scuffs or scratches. Side-1: F-86001-A and Side- 2: F-86001-B etched in runout. LP cleaned using VPI cleaning machine before shipping. Any spindle wear occurred during cleaning procedure.

·      LABELS: Blue and white with Fantasy logo and “Lightening” symbols.

·      JACKET- VG++: Original Debut jacket printed in Copenhagen (See photo). High gloss front and back surfaces and edges show minor age wear, no marks, writing or seam splits.  

·      SLEEVE: Paper sleeve.
