Issue : UK 1st PRESS Label : CBS Catalogue No : S 64010 Matrix : S66236 A1/B1/C1/D1
This rare UK 1st press is on the plain orange CBS label. It is complete with the very earliest S66236 A1/B1/C1/D1 matrix, the original printed CBS inner sleeves and the earliest matt EJ Day gatefold sleeve.
The vinyl is in Excellent condition. Every side has the most sensational mirrored gloss, there are a couple of very light marks but these are insignificant, every track gleams. It really is in fabulous condition. The original plain orange CBS labels are exceptionally bright and completely clean. The colour is solid and unworn, the text is sharp and there is no spindle wear on any side.
The sound quality is Excellent. The vinyl lies completely flat on the turntable and from the moment it begins it is exceptionally rich and vibrant. Superb clarity and separation, the original 1970's warm complete sound. Even in the quietest moments, there is slight noise but it is still superb. Although not entirely Mint it sounds sensational, a pleasure to listen to from start to finish.
The matt gatefold sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. The sleeve is solid and completely clean. The colours are warm and the images are clear. There is a little ring wear, a tiny scuff in the corner and some light edge wear. The inside is superb, very clean and bright. The whole lightweight card sleeve is still solid and the spine is firm.
