MILES DAVIS ALL STARS “Walkin” original Prestige Deep Groove RVG

1954/USA/Prestige LP 7076….. here’s a gorgeous original “deep groove” pressing of this rare lp. The laminated cover is in solid VG to VG+ condition, the corners have minor light dings/wear, light shelf wear and soiling/wear on the white back, otherwise the cover is solid and clean with no splits and looks fine! The vinyl is in very strong VG++ condition with beautiful gloss and it appears to have had very little play. There are a a handful of super super light whispy sleeve scuffs on either side, the vinyl plays clean with little noise and great fidelity. RVG in trail off. 446 W. 50th St. NYC address on labels. Both deep groove labels are clean with only a couple of light spindle marks each. A really nice copy of this jazz classic! Please check my auctions for other jazz, rock, psych and various other lp’s. Yet Miles's transitional albums are usually more polished, developed, and engaging than a lot of other artists' definitive albums, and such is the case with WALKIN'. Whether on originals ("Solar") or standards ("Love Me or Leave Me"), the sessions boast impeccable playing and superb interplay between the musicians, who number among the best of the era. Pianist Horace Silver, drummer Kenny Clarke, and trombonist J.J. Johnson are among the personnel, and one can hear the beginnings of the synergy Miles was searching for and would find with his quintet (especially in the dynamics between his trumpet and Lucky Thompson's sax, which foreshadows his chemistry with John Coltrane).

MINT: I consider New Unplayed or Sealed items only.

M- or Mint Minus, very clean with clean visual appearance and sound, there may be a couple of light inaudible hairline scuffs or such and will be mentioned in the listing, a Mint- record looks and plays very clean. Same for the cover. Very clean with no delete or other issues.

EXCELLENT: between VG++ and M- , still very collectable for most, visually and sonicly clean. A handful of light inaudible scuffs, or hairlines. Cover will be clean with little wear, or delete. No splits.

VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal wear, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much. Cover will have slight shelf wear, and or delete, minor split.

VG+ the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects.
