The Mighty Diamonds are often considered to be amongst Jamaica's greatest ever vocal trios, which is of course a bold claim, but this album surely backs it up. They first broke through at Channel One before Virgin signed them up and took them to a much wider audience. Made up of Fitzroy "Bunny" Simpson, Lloyd "Judge" Ferguson and lead singer Donald "Tabby" Shaw, the group might have hit their stride in the seventies but they haven't stopped recording since. Some of their better tunes from the 90s make the cut for this album which also features three previously unreleased tracks from the same sessions, plus dubs of each. Tidy.
