Description
various artists: M.H.S. Rock - On Record (RPC Z574292/1981)
One of the latest and rarest on highly collectible vanity label. This features 7 bands from Manasquan High School in New Jersey perfroming a mix of originals and covers (RollingStones, Beatles, Kinks, a really heavy King Bee. The sound is 70s rock with the occasional heavy psych moments. The songs are full of yelping/snarling teen vocals, thumping bass lines,a few amateur breakneck guitar solos.
This LP is rated in the new Acid Archives book with a rarity rating of 3-4.
The cover is a strong VG+ (mild ringwear front & back; on bottom seam 2" seamsplit in center and beginning of a split near opening; slightly banged corners). The record is visually a strong VG+ (a couple of small blemishes on side 1; side 2 has a few larger blemished areas and a couple of light hairline marks). It plays EX (some light crackling at beginning of side 2).
All LPs now cleaned on a VPI machine.
