Description

MFSL Original Master Recording The Beatles (White album) MFSL 2-072

Check out my other items MFSL,  Audiophile and Classical

Remastered as only mobile fidelity Sound labs could have, a classic re-issue and much sought after pressing of The Beatles (White Album) landmark album. Issued in 1982,

Opportunities to get such a rare mo fi issue, especially in Australia, and in this, great overall condition,  at such a low starting price are certainly Rare Indeed. When seen overseas they regularly command prices in excess of AUD100  and then you have to mail it to Oz if you win it!!

Condition (see Photo's)

COVER- Only small damage,  There are some small brown marks at the bottom of the cover front and back, where the commencement of ring wear has started , but the rest of the covers show no ring wear. Around the edges of front and back covers is a detectable slight yellowing of the white cover, This also shows on the inside of the gatefold, seems noticeably yellow around the centre folding area on the inside. This yellowing doesn't actually show very well in the photo's due to the flash reflecting the white, but I just want you to know its like that, and a white cardboard after 26 years is going to have to have been vacuum sealed to not be affected by 20% of the earths atmosphere (oxygen).

Other than that there are only some very minor feathering to the opening on the front gatefold, no other shelf wear, seam splits, tears, rips or bends, its a VG ++ example, Only the yellowing stops me giving it the excellent grade

LP's are as near mint as I am prepared to describe anything, having only visually graded them They have no paper scuff marks or scratches, they were dust free and unhandled, there original pressing lustre is as good as the day they left the press.Spindle wear of one revolving spindle contacting the label  is evident on 3 of the 4 sides, I would suggest there is a possibility this has only ben played once, and not all the way through. They looked so clean, I decided my standard of washing records, could be reduced in this case to a treatment of 'Last' Power Cleaner, followed by 'Last' Record Preserver (said to protect against wear damage for upto 200 plays) The first few plays after that, may leave some residual pressing compounds or any previously invisible dust/grime on your stylus, as "Last" is very good at loosening and removing things you didn't even know were there, Most audiophiles such as yourself are probably already using the treatment, but at least I've saved you the effort and the expense.

Has it's original mfsl dust jackets, (See supersize photo's) and Large fold out record protector/stiffener sheets, same size as cover, they have  all the words to the songs for each album, in very good condition, they also show some yellowing. Green warranty card and marketing questionnaire still not seperated are included.

This listing in Australian dollars because I don't live in US or UK, and if you don't, WHAT A WASTE OF DOUBLE CONVERSIONS THAT WOULD BE!!! Also as the exchange rate is more like R.S. not U.S against our vibrant economy in sunny Australia

The keen starting price offers a great opportunity to own this great recording at a reasonable starting price.
