METALLICA "WHIPLASH" 12" TEST PRESS
Heres an extremely rare one Metallica 12" on megaforce. This is an original test pressing directly from the guy who used to run megaforce. A holy grail for metallica and early metal collectors. Comes in a plain white jacket with 1569 written on it. The jacket is almost new except for a 1/4" seam split starting on the spine. Vinyl has a very slight edge warp, plays perfectly, it does not cause the needle to skip or distort the sound at all. Looks almost new, has a few smudges, and a few extremely light paper scuffs from the dust sleeve. There is a tiny spot of haze about 1/8" on the lead in grooves to side a does not sound. 4 songs has the cover tunes with faked crowd noise on the b side.
Has a date of 1/29/85 on it. Hard to tell exactly what this test was for, it could have been for the picture disc or a repress of the vinyl since this came out in Feb 1984 according to metal archives. Most plates can only press a certain number of copies then have to be melted down.
This is one of a big batch of test pressings i have for sale. This is 100% authentic. Very rare, usually only 10 or less ever made. There is a chance some of these may be alternate mixes or rejected test pressings. Because of the possibility of rejected test pressings (mastering and plating defects in the actual metal plates themselves) items are sold AS-IS. These are strictly graded visually. I am very strict with my grading and have been grading records for 15 years.

- GENERAL - Items must be paid for within 7 days. If they are not an unpaid item alert will be filed. Then negative feedback will be left. This goes for international bidders as well.
- SHIPPING - I offer shipping by either priority mail or media mail (for records & cd's). The shipping cost includes delivery confirmation in the US. If you want insurance it is offered to you as an option, or just ask for it. I am NOT responsible for uninsured packages. Meaning if your package gets crushed and you didn't buy insurance there is nothing i can do. Realize that postal workers do not handle everything with care, i ship everything in the condition stated in my auctions, as securely as possible. I do not ship on weekends, or every day. You may also request items to be sent by fed ex or ups. These will be more expensive but i will work with the buyer.
- COMBINE ITEMS TO SAVE ON SHIPPING - Buy multiple items and combine to save on shipping, each additional cd & 7" is 50 cents, I have no problem waiting a few days for you to win other items but with the amount of stuff i list i cannot wait over a week. If you are planning to bid on other items and already won a bunch just pay for the current batch.
- OVERSEAS SHIPPING - All international items over $70 must pay for registered mail. International bidders are encouraged to pay for registered mail on all orders which is another $9 on top of shipping costs (no one ever wants to pay this). Shipping can get expensive overseas. There is no more surface mail, so everything must go by air or priority. Despite what you think there is NO tracking provided free of charge with airmail. There is a customs form you fill out but you get no receipt of the number, and it is not tracking. Go to the postal service website and find me where it says tracking is free. Door to door tracking does not yet exist from the United States Postal service. This is a UPS exclusive and you pay for the privilege.
