Description

Metallica - Ride the Lightning Megaforce Records, MRI 769


This is a very nice first pressing on Megaforce. Vinyl is pristine, save for a very faint sleeve scuff on side 1!


  • Misprint cover "For Whom the Bells Toll"
  • Metal Militia membership insert (has a diagonal fold- see photo)
  • Original printed inner sleeve (subsequent pre-Elektra Megaforce pressings only have a plain white sleeve)


Condition:

Vinyl: M-. Super-clean, with only a very light paper scuff on side 1. 

Cover: EX+. Very glossy, minimal wear, sharp corners, a few very small creases at spine (see photos). Inner sleeve: Minimal signs of handling, no fingerprints, left edge has a tiny center split (less than 1 inch), small .5" crease at upper-right corner of lyrics side of the sleeve.

Packaging: Preserving the current condition of this lp is important to me! I will use a sturdy RECTANGULAR mailer that prevents damage to the corners of the lp cover.

Grading:

Basic Goldmine standards, except that I might use "M" if something actually appears perfect (it does happen, though rarely). I visually grade under a bright bulb while using strong reading glasses (so I see everything).
