ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!

Some people still think the Command Classics label was a budget label of little reputation.  This is entirely wrong.

Fact is, when Mercury Records was put up for sale, much of the production staff, including recordist Bob Fine and master chief George Piros, moved right over to Command, bringing along some of the finest knowledge about how to record and press a record that has ever existed.

Now for the particulars: Yes, these are stunning audiophile recordings of Steinberg and The Pittsburgh at work on Brahms, Ravel, and Wagner. Why it will blow you away---and I mean that, totally---is because this edition was recorded by Bob Fine, Wilma Cozart's other half.  To boot, in checking the heavy platter deadwax, this particular edition has original heavy platter Gold Labels cut by George Piros on his legendary favorite lathe, p-17.

Selections include Brahms SYMPHONY No. 2, Ravel's RAPSODIE ESPAGNOLE, BOLERO, PRELUDE A LA NUIT, and MALAGUENA, and Wagner's THE RIDE OF THE VALKYRIES (among the finest on record), MAGIC FIRE MUSIC, ENTRY OF THE GODS INTO VALHALLA, DAWN AND SIEGFRIED'S RHINE JOURNEY, and SIEGFRIED'S FUNERAL MARCH.

Lift-top box is without fault, all corners intact. The three original, stout Gold Label platters are clean, and will play near mint.

A great set of recordings, gloriously unexpected in their realism, pressed marvelously.

Not to be missed.
