I recently had the good fortune to buy the collection of the company director of the Australian label, Regular Records, including the entire Regular Records Archives...and this was within that collection.
ARTIST: MENTAL AS ANYTHING

LABEL: Regular .
CATALOGUE #: K-8594 .
PRESSED IN: Australia .
ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING?: Yes...
CONDITION: (cover/record): (MINT / MINT) ...as NEW, unplayed!
As you may or may not be aware, the first copies of this 7" (which never came in a pic cover) bore the multi-coloured fingerprints of the band-members on the plain white die-cut paper sleeve. That's true. What you may not know, is that Regular sent a few promo copies out with a photo-copied picture insert, the text of which explained a bit about the release (the fingerprinting, etc.).
According to the company director, they made about 30 of these, which they sent out themselves (as opposed to Festival, the distributor, doing so...as they would normally). He also added, that 'they signed 4 or 5 copies' while in the fingerprinting process...and THIS is one of those.
If you have any concerns about the accuracy of my gradings, please check my feedback for the odd nice comment from some satisfied folk out there.... (and hopefully you may be able to join their ranks).
