Description

This auction is for one MEGA RARE original pressing 1958 Jackie Wilson "Let George Do It" vinyl 45 rpm 7" promo record single. This song was written to show support for his brother-in-law George Edwards who was running for State Representative in 1958. These were radio DJ promo 7" records only and not many were pressed. This limited run of records was not on a label and were self pressed by Jackie with blank white labels on both sides. The matrix/runout marking is "H80W 8363-1 I" on both sides. Both sides are the same "LET GEORGE DO IT" song. The record has scratches and wear but plays without skipping on both sides (see pictures). The label has shelf wear and some staining (see pictures). The white generic paper protective sleeve in the pictures is included. Please message me with any questions.
