M.B. untitled K7 privately issued by M.B. (no catalogue number) in Italy, 1983. Original handmade sleeve. ****** Tape:ex / Cov:ex ****** Time for something really special!!! A unique never seen before M.B. tape, probably the only copy existing of this very accomplished ultra-sound experiment. The title "Gene-X" immediately reminds the early M.B. concrete tape "Gene-P", but in fact "Gene-X" has nothing to do with that seminal work. "Gene-X" is a much more mature realization, with 2 long suites of maximal electronics (one piece for each side) in the direction of M.B. more mature masterpieces "Das Testament" or "Technology". This is the highest point M.B. reached before descending into laxative-atmospheric "The Plain Truth"-period late works. It is actually possible that M.B. decided to revisit in 1983 his early "Gene-P" work as he was in possession of more advanced techniques and futuristic approach.
