An extreme experimental record from great argentinian composer Mauricio Kagel. "Exotica" surely is Kagel's more weird - outsider - freaked out record making some sort of ritual music with +200 instruments from all over the world, instruments from african or east Asian tribes, grouped in 4 categories : Idiophones(self sounders), Membranophones(Skin sounders), Chordophones(stringed instruments) and aerophones(principally wind instruments)!! All these were collected from all over the world and Mr.Kagel has written the work for six participants, each one interpreting simultaneously an instrumental and a vocal part, big space is left to the improvisational qualities of the performers. Like M.Kagel writes Exotica is dedicated to the sixth sense. Highly recommended, if you ask me, his best work together with "Der Schall" and "Atem". This is the ORIGINAL german pressing on the great Deutsche Grammophon(that had also released Stockhausen, Koenig, Cornelius Cardew, Leo Kupper, Gruppo Nuova Consonanza and other master works!). 
According to the Hugh Davies catalog(Repertoire international des musiques electroacoustiques), Kagel composed 8 electroacoustic pieces in the period from 1951-1953, tried to set up an electronic music studio in Argentina, but after failure came to Europe. He has composed numerous pieces for tape, electronic and public sounds, electronic and handmade instruments, loudspeakers, sound generators, amplifiers, 22 or 33 or 44 silent performers or chairs. You can find him listed in Unesco's cultural heritage assets. 
Vinyl and cover in vg condition, cover has a small tear, writings, while the vinyl seems played with some scratches that do sound in more parts!! Impossible to find find, don't lose this chance to grab it now!!
