MATUMBI - Music In The Air / Guide Us (Matumbi Music MA0004) - 12" - 1977
Very nicely presented original pressing of this Matumbi Music Corp. 12" featuring Matumbi's back-to-back roots killers Music In The Air and Guide Us, both of which segue into their dubs. The vinyl retains a very good / excellent sheen with some very light superficial surface marks and a couple of fine, light hairlines - nothing significant - see descriptions below and please check-out the soundclip. Comes in its original Matumbi Disco 45 sleeve, which is in good condition - with some discolouration and some writing on one side.
A-side: There is just an occasional tiny tick plus a couple of very small clicks. Grade - EX
B-side: There are tiny ticks, some very small clicks plus an occasional more prominent one. There is one jump after six seconds but, though this plays through normally on a very light stylus, there is some distortion to the sound on that groove - please check-out the soundclip. It actually appears that this is a pressing defect. Grade (after the first ten seconds) - EX- up to EX-/EX
Labels: There is a swirl and name written on both labels (see scan).
