Description
Martin Denny was among a number of musicians who produced instrumental recordings without a focal singer or group that were often big hits in the charts during the 1950s and early 1960s courtesy of their particular angles (exotic/lounge, keyboard based, guitar based, and on and on. It still has the hooks and the two to three minute or so per song format. This sort of music nearly disappeared from the charts over night when the Beatles arrived to wipe out all sorts of niche types of easy listening music. So long Pat Boone! It's good music despite all that. I enjoyed listening through these albums to be sure they were as pristine sounding as they look. This keyboardist knew his way around a cool arrangement! Get in the laid back groove when, ironically, most chairs were hard in which to lay back!!
