MEGARARE original Tamla Motown Records very first MONO press released, made and distributed in Chile in 1967 by Corporación De Radio De Chile S.A. Records (CRC Records), licensed from Gordy Records, catalog number GLP-920-X, with hand etched matrix numbers GLP-920-A AA in Side 1 and GLP-920-A AA in Side 2, with yellow/black Tamla Motown Records labels. Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!

“WATCHOUT!” was originally released in 1966 in USA and in Chile we had to wait until May 1967 to see this great record released here, and like usual in that period, we got it with an UNIQUE COVER made of a single piece of a very thin cardboard folded in the middle with two sheets of paper attached (partially glued in the mouth edge) to that cardboard for front and back cover, so 3 sides are open and kept together for a plastic bag. Front cover keeps the original US artwork, with the picture of Martha Reeves and The Vandellas, with UNIQUE ALBUM TITLE written in English only, “Queens Of The Go-Go”, tracklist written in Spanish only and Motown Records logo with catalog number. Back cover also keeps the original US picture, with album title written in English only, with tracklist written in Spanish, translated to English, with full credits for songwriters, and Motown Records logo and catalog number. In labels all the text, album title and tracklist, is written in Spanish only, with full credits for songwriters. It’s interesting to see that in cover it’s the Motown Records logo but in labels we got the Tamla Motown Records logo, with original Gordy Records catalog number!!! The sides in back cover are identified as “Lado Uno” (Side One) and “Lado Dos” (Side Two), but in labels they are only “Lado 1” (Side 1) and “Lado 2” (Side 2). And like in many records pressed in Chile, we also got and UNIQUE ERROR, the song “Lista Para Amar” was translated to English “READY FOR LOVE” and the correct English title of the song is "I’m Ready For Love” as you can see in this link: http://www.discogs.com/viewimages?release=2046929. So, here you have the chance to own ANOTHER RARITY from Chile, the album “Watchout!” by Martha & The Vandellas with UNIQUE COVER, UNIQUE UNIQUE ALBUM TITLE and UNIQUE ERROR!!! WOW!!! And what a great condition!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in great VG+ or EX- condition both the front and back covers, no missing parts, no ring marks, faint blemishes in the mouth edge, some age browning, more evident in the back cover, some moderate wear in the mouth edge and corners, some creases, a number (“624”) written close to the left hand of Martha Reeves in front cover. The record is in great EX or EX+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, with some light scuffs and some hairlines hard to see at first sight, which of course don’t affect play at all, no scratches. Labels on both sides are in great NM or NM+ condition, clean and clear, with only minimal spindle hole wear. The sound is in strong EX+ or NM- condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise at all (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), only some soft crackles here and there, more evident in the silent parts between songs, which don’t cause any distraction from the great sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall it’s a great record with a very nice look, almost immaculate labels and still a great sound quality after more than 47 years!!! And keep in mind the UNIQUE COVER, UNIQUE Tamla Motown Records labels, UNIQUE ALBUM TITLE and UNIQUE ERROR!!! Yes Sirs, what a FIND!!! Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

We have an unique value worldwide:

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending of thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP7 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for.
