This album is from my private collection, which I am now selling off, all of which I bought new back in the 60's, and onwards, and some have not been played for at least 30 years, until now.


This album is a rare 1965 UK issue original, in mono, of a Motown classic. Low starting price.


I have graded this record using the Goldmine Standard grading system. Although it has been visually graded under LED lighting, I have also play-graded it. I consider that I have been very honest with my assessment, and have not over-graded it. Photos can never do justice to the condition of a record, so I've tried to describe the vinyl's condition as accurately and fairly as possible, so as not to disappoint the buyer.

This is the second album from Martha and the Vandellas, released in the UK in 1965 on the Tamla Motown label. The sleeve is a front laminated flipback, with a black and white printed back.

The Vinyl


I am grading this as VG+. There are some surface scuffs, and slight hairline non-audible scratches when viewed under LED lighting, but nothing that detracts from the overall sound, that remains very clear. There is only a small amount of background static/crackle, only really noticeable on the lead-ins, and between tracks. The vinyl still also holds a very good gloss. There are no skips, jumps, or sticking.

The labels are excellent, with only light spindle scuffing, and no hole wear. No stickers or writing.


The Sleeve


I am grading this as VG+. The laminated front still has a good gloss, and strong colours. There are a few small creases, mainly around the edges, causing minor laminate lift, and very slight matting off of the laminate, as a result of the record edge pressure ring that shows slightly. There is some bruising to the open edge, but no splits or tears. The corners are in very good condition, with minimal wear. The back is in good shape for its age, with just the usual age related yellowing. The black print is good and clear. There are no stickers, no writing, and no splits anywhere. The spine is also clean, with clear writing.

The original polylined inner sleeve is in fairly good shape with some ripples/creasing on the corners, and the usual age related yellowing. There are no splits, writing or stickers.

The album will be sent out in a sturdy purpose made LP album packaging, with added card stiffeners, and marked 'FRAGILE' and 'DO NOT BEND'. The vinyl will be sent in a new inner polylined paper sleeve, but separate to the main outer sleeve, to avoid damage from movement in transit. The album's original inner sleeve will be included. The whole album will then be enclosed in a polythene album outer sleeve.
