MARILLION: He Knows You Know/Charting The Single (EMI, 12 EMI 5362, 1984, 12" single)
Autographed by all bar Mark Kelly on 28 March, 1983. Mick Pointer, Steve Rothery and Pete Trewavas all signed the sleeve in Rival Records, Park Street, Bristol, where they were promoting the Script LP release. Fish and Mark Kelly were amongst the missing, Fish for no stated reason, but Kelly because he was back home on the south coast, where his wife was about two hours from delivering their first child. Fish, I spotted later outside the Colston Hall, so nabbed his autograph there. Mark Kelly arrived only shortly before the band was due on stage, hence missing out on him.
The record plays at EX. Sleeve is EX - and before anyone says that there are some black smudges on the rear of the sleeve, those are original drummer, Mike Pointer's fingerprints! He wasn't very good at wielding his signing pen and his hands were covered in indelible ink!
The promotional poster is creased and with corners torn, mainly because it had been inexpertly pinned to the record shop wall, and then simply pulled off (without bothering to take the drawing pins out!) by the chap in the shop (Rival, again?). Still, these are rare in whatever condition.
*    *    *    * Playing surfaces are likely to have light marks from taking in and out of sleeves but these are not mentioned unless obvious (i.e. to the detriment of listening experience or if the record is especially collectable). All records that I expect to sell for £20 or more will be play tested, otherwise records are visually graded (unless the description above clearly states that the record has been play tested, e.g., "record plays at EX").  Please look at the photographs carefully because they can give a better idea of condition of sleeves than my descriptions. Apologies for various reflections of me!
All records won, up to a total value of £50.00, will be sent by Royal Mail via the 'signed for' service (currently £4.50* for LPs/cassettes, £3.00* for 7" records/CDs). If items are bid above £50.00 (or multiple items won come to more than £50), the record(s) will be sent as Royal Mail Special Delivery (currently £9.50* for all formats), so that all items are correctly insured against loss or damage in the post. If you win multiple items, please do not pay until I have invoiced with correct postage. (*these include packaging costs - overall, I actually make a loss on p&p.)
The more you buy, the more you save on postage - e.g., winning five single LPs with a total value of £50 or under, postage will still be £4.50; if total value is £50 or above, five single LPs via Special Delivery will still be £9.50. Note that if you win items in multiple formats, (e.g., an LP and a CD), these will have to be sent as multiple parcels (though I can bundle up a 7" or two along with with an LP).
See photos (or discogs) for track details. All records/books/etc. from a smoke and pet-free household - and neither of us has tested positive for Covid, yet, either! Where possible, packaging will be recycled but sturdy/secure.
Thanks to an increase in non-paying bidders, unpaid for items are relisted after 5 days and non-payers are automatically added to my blocked list. If you are still bidding on other items, please contact me to let me know. Basically, I post within 2 working days of payment and I would expect, unless otherwise arranged, to be paid within 2 days of auction end. Not unreasonable. Please do not ask me to end auctions early. Once an item is listed, I prefer it to sell for what it's going to sell for. Thanks to multiple problems, I will not post items outside of the UK.

Conditions tend to be subjective, and with vinyl I won't use 'Mint' for new, still sealed, un-played records - all records come fresh from the pressing plant with some minor imperfection to sleeve, record, inner, etc. So, I start with Excellent for the most part. The majority of LP sleeves from played but well looked after records tend to be what I would call Very Good (which should mean exactly what it says, 'very good'). Judging by most items bought on eBay over the last few years would tend to suggest that my "Very Good" (and, often, my "Good") equates to many sellers' "Excellent".
Tapes and CDs are different. If the cassette casing and labels/CD look as new and the tape/CD plays properly, then I'll call it "Mint", though most inlays will be Near New, Excellent or Very Good. I do not include standard jewel cases in the condition - these are easily replaced - but I mention if damaged. In any case, the photos should tell you this.
Note that all items on offer are from my own collection, started in 1966, and most of which has been in storage for the last fifteen years or so. Lockdowns, etc., have caused me to revisit and have a clear out. It's made me wonder why I have multiple copies of records I don't like. There are about 15,000 more items to come from my rambling progressive rock, jazz fusion, folk, folk-rock, blues, 1950s stereo classical and easy listening, psychedelic, reggae, ambient, railway, field recordings, electronic and occasionally just plain 'out there' collection.
