This is a love song written by Rod Pappas, performed by the rock band Mantis (Rod Pappas, Laurie Vitt, Charlie Moss, and Dave Newberry) from Tempe, Arizona in the mid 1970s.

Vitt was a founder of The Unusuals -- a 1965-1967 Pacific Northwest garage band that featured outstanding vocals by the late Kathi McDonald. In the early-sixties, Vitt played in a series of regionally popular bands including the Nite People, Ron Peterson and The Accents, and The Bellingham Accents. After The Unusuals disbanded, Vitt played with the Seattle-based group known as Clever Baggage.

In that time period, Laurie Vitt graduated from Western Washington University with a bachelor's degree. In the early-seventies, he was accepted into a Ph.D. program at Arizona State University. While attending that school, he played with two bands: Rainbow and Mantis.
