NM- First Issue on Poppy ~ Gatefold Cover is in Near Mint- condition

Includes very cool 2-sided lp-sized round insert with center hole (like an lp)

Incredible gatefold cover grades NM- with very slight ring wear. There are no slices, cut-out holes or punches. Promo info is imprinted/stamped into the back cover but is very hard to see. The spine is intact & sharp with slight yellowing. There is very slight corner wear, one slightly crunched corner. All seams are intact & sharp with very slight flaking. Inner cover is like-new with seams/spine intact.

The lovely Poppy labels are sharp with no spindle marks writing, stamps etc.
LP comes with its cool original Poppy die-cut inner sleeve.

The record has one or two very faint, strictly cosmetic surface marks/paper scuffs. The vinyl is black & shiny and has been very seldom spun.

The Bear Says : "Here is a lovely first issue promo copy of PUZZLE, the third and final LP by an obscure American experimental Psych outfit called THE MANDRAKE MEMORIAL, issued on the Poppy label in 1970. The quartet lost it's fourth member right before the release of this LP. The review of this LP in AMG was too harsh. Even so, the music on this disc is challenging and perhaps a bit too avant-garde for the average listener. The cover art is by the legendary M.C. Escher. He also supplies what serves as "liner notes". The Mandrake Memorial might be an acquired taste but they are certainly worth checking out, especially for Psych completists. This item has a really nice package : LP, Escher cover, cool insert & original inner sleeve. Solve the Puzzle !!"
