M Mint : never used on an opened record. Only used on factory sealed vinyl, M is never used on any sleeve
NM near mint: vinyl is flawless looks unplayed no marks at all, nm sleeve looks like it’s brand new from the factory
VG+ very good plus: nice clean record, may have a few light scratches or scuffs but nothing that is play affecting. Most records I sell will get this grade. Sleeves may have a corner ding or minor wear but will be in great shape
Vg very good: vinyl will have more scratches and scuffs than a vg+ record but still a nice playing record with no defects that take away from the music. Vg sleeve will have shelfware and possibly a seam split or 2 that will be noted
G+ good plus: record will be rough. It will have marks maybe some deep marks that you can feel will not be pretty, mainly for a place holder in a collection, might be warped but will be notated as to why it got this grade. G+ sleeves may have seam splits, tears, water damage or other issues that will be notated.
