Description
Mama Lion was an obscure glam band in the early 1970s. They only released two studio albums before going their separate ways. The band featured the beautiful Lynn Carey on lead vocals, as well as on the cover of those two albums and most of the singles' picture sleeves. The debut album came out FORTY FIVE years ago, in 1972!
To help celebrate that milestone, we have up for grabs today a near perfect FIRST PRESS copy of that awesome album! It features remakes, including very good versions of Bill Wither's "Aint No Sunshine", and Blind Faith's "Can't Find My Back Home". The best part of this album? The cover! It is Ms. Carey with a lion cub suckling at her breast! I blocked that on the pic here with a CD, but you can easily look that up to see it uncensored. If not, contact me for a pic.
The album has a gatefold cover, so that the breast and cub are blocked until you open the gate. This caused quite a controversy when it came out! Highly sought-after by collectors, this is the real deal! And whomever I got this from took GREAT care of it, as it still looks almost new! The vinyl looks great, all shiny and clean. The jacket is in very, very good condition as well! A nice collectible item for vinyl collectors. This would make a sweet Christmas gift, as well!
