Major Burkes ~   "Who Was The Fool?' / "Break These Chains"  (Gulf)1960's

Amazing deep soul 45 on the Gulf label out of Houston, Texas.  For those not familiar with "Break These Chains",  the intro opens with what sounds like the same music used in Darrell Bank's classic "Open the Door to Your Heart,"  before Mr. Burkes comes on and delivers the goods!   Recorded nice and loud with a great bass heavy mix.  Simply one of my favorite 45's I've ever been lucky enough to find. Would really floor some audiences if ever played out.

 label condition:  VG+(light wear)    record condition:  looks VG(plays great for condition, more like a strong VG+)
