This fabulous Magic Mushroom Band LP was a limited edition private pressing, on Fungus Records, of 1,000 individually numbered copies made. A few copies, including this one, were signed by the band's multi-instrumentalist Swordfish!! The LP comes housed in a beautiful 3D fold-out sleeve featuring fine intricate artwork and inner pictures of the band. This is number 606 of 1,000 copies made!! Both the stunning 3D fold-out sleeve and vinyl are in superb virtually mint condition.

Very rare, individually numbered and signed by MMB member Swordfish, original 1991 UK Fungus Records private pressing vinyl LP complete with fabulous 3D fold-out sleeve!

 Back in the 80/90s, Magic Mushroom Band were a big favourite with festival-going psychedelic warriors with anarchistic political leanings - a niche market, I'll freely admit, but a pretty hardcore one! I managed to catch them live a couple of times and they were always great fun, a psychedelic blizzard of swirling, energetic music and mind-bending lightshows.

On offer here, from my own collection, is the band's rarely seen privately pressed Fungus Records album 'Spaced Out' released in 1991. Influenced by the usual suspects favoured by festival bands in the 80s - Hawkwind, Gong, Here and Now etc - it's a wonderful mix of space rock, space dub, space pop, space ambience...space everything. This original album has a fabulous 3D fold-out cover. The album has a guest appearance by David Jackson of the band Van Der Graaf Generator.

Classic UK Festival space rock/psych, includes the brilliant "Pictures In My Mind", the closest UK Festival music ever came to pop psych - and other spacey classics. This original Fungus label version of 'Spaced Out' has more incidental music on it than the later Magic Eye version. This is one of the rarest privately pressed UK psych albums (only 1,000 numbered copies made) and is one that only very rarely turns up for sale!!!

A fabulous album by a truly great band.

Records Are Graded In The Following Way:

MINT (M): The record displays barely any signs of use, if any, with no marks or deterioration in sound quality. Extra items and cover are near perfect.

EXCELLENT (EX): Shows only minor signs of being played with very little lessening in sound quality. The Cover and extras will have some light wear and or creasing

VERY GOOD (VG): Has been played many times but has no major deterioration in sound quality, despite some noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches. Cover and extras will have normal wear and tear but no major defects

GOOD (G): Has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and any extras may suffer from folding, scuffing, split spine, discoloration etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable and has considerable surface noise and may even jump. Cover and contents will be torn stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly. Covers badly damaged or partly missing

+ or - : Indicates slightly better (+) or slightly lesser (-) condition than main grade

All records are from my personal collection and have been carefully play graded before listing. In many cases I have owned them from new and all have been looked after very well. Please check out my other similar LPs currently listed on eBay.

Packing Procedures: All 12" / LPs are securely and well packed in top quality material to avoid any unnecessary damage during transit. When posted the records are removed from the cover, if possible, and placed in a PVC outer protective sleeve to prevent sleeve splits in the post. I use brand new mailers, either the envelope style with thick stiffeners to prevent any sleeve bends in transit, or the "cruciform" style that wrap around the LP. I aim to dispatch all items within 48 hours of receiving payment. It is recommended that you choose the insurance option for higher value items. As stated above I cannot be held responsible for any item(s) lost or damaged in the post that are not shipped via insured / registered mail. I always obtain a certificate proof of posting receipt for every item sent, which will complete our transaction.
