Mint A brand new record with no imperfections (very few brand new records qualify as mint, most new records are M- from the factory)

M- New or like new record with virtually no imperfections

VG++ Very close to M- except for a few very light surface scuffs.

VG+ Minor scuffs or light surface scratches, but not audibly distracting.

VG An average used record.. The vinyl will show moderate wear, scuffs and/or scratches, but should play OK- no significant audible distractions

VG- A worn record with more significant wear. Audible quality will be tested and usually noted in the listing. Some VG- records still play OK.

G A worn record with heavy play wear. A collection filler usually. Audible quality of a G grade record will usually be noted in the listing.
