Michael Rabin, violin, plays a collection of short favorites entitled "The Magic Bow" on Capitol Records stereo SP 8510.

This is a very nice playing copy of this rare and sought-after disc, one of the great violin records ever.  It is graded at VG+ with a few light marks, nothing bad.  Plays with occasional light tics, but nothing that is too serious.  I am probably making it sound worse than it is, but I want to be conservative.

Black label disc has top logo.  Jacket VG+.

Offered here at a bargain price.  If you are not looking for an heirloom NM copy and just want to enjoy this great recording, this may be for you.  Good luck.

"The Paganini Moto Perpetuo on this disc was recorded in one take. The story goes that the engineer wanted to get sound levels. Rabin started the Paganini and immediately everyone realized it was something special and within a fraction of a second conductor orchestra and soloist were as one. It was decided to issue the take for its perfection and sheer driving pace. As one listens to it, it is indeed one of those great moments in the recording history of the violin - thank you Michael Rabin."
