SCARCE & minty clean 1973 BRITISH Original in nice coffin gatefold cover....extremely superior to the USA pressing... Within Rigor Mortis Sets In, Entwistle gathers a small electrified unit with guitar, keys & drums and goes back to his favorites as a youth, re-rocks them to his own satisfaction, and virtually makes them his own, tied together with his own humorous & twisted compositions.
Contains the original custom designed inner sleeve (see photo)
The track 'Made In Japan' should definitely be considered a "lost" Entwistle classic . A complaint about the global shift of goods manufacturing to Eastern countries, and it's fun, catchy and rockin' ...Otherer highlights include 'Roller Skate Kate' (a doo-wop "take" gone deathdirge), 'Peg Leg Peggy' (great jagged guitar lines on what's easily the album's heaviest original rocker), and the hardrockin' grooves in 'Do The Dangle' (about a hanging...) . All of it is nice and occasionally amusing, an album that will have you shakin' your butt and smirking and grinning at the same time. Alan Ross is a dynamic guitar player, Tony Ashton, of the group "Family" , definitely is given enough space on the keys (like on 'Mr Bassman' -- real funny one with Ross and Entwistle dueting on the high/low vocal parts.
