Description

An original 1st press of SS on MCA for the UK market. Matrix A2/B2. Anyone familiar with the band and this title will know it was released shortly before, and in conjunction, with a US tour. This tour was cancelled a few dates in as the bands aircraft crashed on its way into 'Baton Rouge'. The record company rushed to re-issue the cover artwork [understandably]. This is the original pre-crash 1st issue version. The vinyl comes housed in an original G&L cover with the original tour date run inner. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In excellent condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. Beautiful lustre. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Difficult to imagine bettering. If you care about this band/title...why compromise. Get yourself the best copy possible - that would be THIS ONE. FINAL UPGRADE. Just total clarity and perfect balance and poise. If the audio on this title means a lot to you...you need to hear it on a near-master perfect copy. It is worth every darn penny.
Cover (Ex/Ex-) In fantastic order and I've never held one of these originals that feels 'new'. It is rigid and maintains totally solidity [unusual]. Edge wear is almost non-existent. Beautifully flat clean surfaces. The only issue I can spot is a small scuffing patch on the right side of the rear. Interior is practically perfect. Sharp openings. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Spine fully intact. A very fine specimen in every way.
Inner (Ex) No splits. Slight wear at foot. Perfectly flat without creasing.
