Lucian Boiteaux is the pseudonym of Australian drummer Louis Burdett. Louis was the drummer in the legendary Australian free jazz trio, Free Kata. Existence is Proof is a solo album, but Louis plays a range of instruments multi-tracked, so it actually sounds like a group is playing. It's an extraordinary achievement. The drumming is intense and driving throughout, and overlaid with passages of piano, percussive instruments, chanting. Like everything on the Fringe Benefits label this album is extraordinarily rare, and you will probably never come across another copy.
