Description
Both labels have New York USA address; 43 West 61st St. address at the bottom of the back cover. The record as the "ear" and "RVG" inscribed in the dead wax. 7 tracks. Leader, Lou Donaldson,alto sax; Herman Foster, piano; Ben Tucker, bass; Dave Bailey, drums; Alec Dorsey, conga.
Cover: Good(+) 1/2" split on the top edge. Some with black marker pen next to 2 tunes in the tune schedule on the back cover. Light aging on the back cover.
Record: VG(-) The record has a few surface rub marks on both sides. Most are short and barely visible. There is a light scratch on Side 2 that extends from mid Track 1 to mid Track 2. Side 1, Track1, some groove noise on the first several revolutions, 3 or 4 light clicks near mid Track. 2 or 3 faint clicks on the last 2 or 3 revolutions. Track 3, 2 faint clicks on the last 2 or 3 revolutions. Track 3, 2 faint clicks near the end of the Track with slight groove noise that is barely audible. 1 or 2 very faint clicks at the end of the Track. Side 2, Track 1, 4 or 5 revolutions have faint groove noise near the beginning of the Track during Foster's solo for 4 or 5 revolutions. This is barely audible as Dorsey's conga drums make any surface noise difficult to detect. However, the noise is generated from a scratch mark described above. Track 2 has slight noise from the scratch that can be heard until approximately mid Track. The noise is light, barely audible. Track 3,2 clicks at the beginning of the Track followed by 1 or 2 light isolated clicks. Audibly checked.
