Description
Up for bid is a very rare original press jazz LP "Blues Walk" by Lou Donaldson. This is very scarce and highly sought after! This was released in 1958 on Blue Note (BLP 1593). This press has the deep groove on both sides, has the ear mark in the matrix area, and the address 47 West 63rd NYC on the inner label. Song list is as follows:
Side 1(etched matrix info: BN-LP-1593-A-1 with an "ear" mark, further down is a 3 and a sideways 9, and furthur down from that is the "RVG" stamp)

LP is VG+. There are light scuffs on each side, as well as a few light scratches. I have played this LP, and there are no skips, but there is some surface noise. Overall, this LP sounds awesome! There is light spindle wear and spindle marks on the inner labels. Jacket is VG+, with no split seams. There is light corner wear on all four corners.The top right corner on the front of the jacket has the most wear of all the corners, as well a small crease. There is a small indentation on the top seam. There is light ring wear on the front and back of the jacket. There is light wear along the lip of the jacket. The front of the jacket retains a nice gloss, although there are several spots where small air bubbles have accumulated underneath the glossy layer. The back of the jacket has some staining in the white areas. A previous owner has placed a small sticker in between the columns of song titles on the back of the jacket. There is a small crease in the top left corner on the back of the jacket. Just a personal observation: No flashed was used when taking pictures of the inner labels, it actually looks like two different shades of blue. Perhaps they were running low on ink in the factory that day? We will securely package this set in an LP mailer with inserts, to insure safe delivery. Comes from a non-smoking home environment!
