Here is a Lot of Sixty (60) 45 RPM records which are all COMEDY or NOVELTY records. The majority of these were released in the 1960s, but there are several from the 50s, 70s or 80s. All of the records are in separate paper sleeves and are packed tightly into a red case.
The records are in varying used condition from VG up to EX; most are VG+. Some have minor scratches and scuffs from past use. There may be writing or stickers on the labels.
Some of the artists are: Ray Stevens, Bobby 'Boris' Pickett, Allen Sherman, Bill Dana, Jumpin' Gene Simmons, Soupy Sales, Randy Newman, Steve Martin, Hudson & Landry, Stan Freberg, Napoleon XIV, and many others. There is a 7”, 33RPM comedy sketch by Rowan & Martin. A few of the artists have more than one record (with different tunes) but there are no duplicates.
Some of these songs were big hits. Others were not exactly best-sellers. A few of the songs are: Tie Me Kangeroo Down Sport, Alley Oop (#1,1960), Monster Mash (#1,1962), The Green Weenie, Surfin' Bird, The Streak (#1,1973), Obscene Phone Call Bust, St. George & the Dragonet (#1,1953), The Dodo, Purple People Eater (#1,1958),The Martian Hop, Eat It!, The Curly Shuffle, and lots more.
The red case is by Platter-Pak and is very good condition. There is some wear on the corners but generally the box is solid with no tears or breaks. The latch and handle are in excellent shape and firmly attached.
