Los Lobos Del Este De Los Angeles (Just another band from East L.A.), released by New Vista Productions (NV-1001) out of Los Angeles, CA in Stereo in 1978. Original pressing! Limited to 1,000 copies!
*When this official debut by Los Lobos was released, the band was still frequently playing weddings and intimate neighborhood parties for barely any money! This fantastic LP has that party intimacy, with the music recorded live and some cuts actually recorded at a party ("Cielito Lindo" & "Cielito Lindo Huasteco")! During these early years, the band would frequently embark on small-scale, do-it-yourself tours up and down California, playing intimate shows, breaking even financially and sleeping on people's floors! This incredibly rare LP is a true window into the beginning of this legendary Latin Rock group. The material on this debut LP consists entirely of Mexican folk songs, performed in a variety of styles (son jarocho, ranchera, bolero, son locos, cancion mexicana, son huasteco, cancion boliviana, bolero ranchero and guajira). The album is entirely acoustic, yet you can feel the rock & roll energy channeled through this highly traditional, festive music. Best of luck on your bids. This is one hell of a rarity!*
The Vinyl is play-graded in VG+ condition. The record plays with an incredibly full and dynamic sound and has as close to a perfect sound that you can get! 100% guaranteed! Visually, when looked at under a bright light, the record shows a very rich luster and a few, incredibly light surface marks.
The Cover is graded in VG condition, showing some fairly minor edge, seam, and ring wear. Overall, it still looks very nice.
Shipping is calculated by ebay at the actual cost for you, the consumer. I don't charge any extra fees for material or handling.
For combined shipping, please add $1 for each additional LP you purchase. If you buy many records from me, I can ship them all together in one box, and charge you the actual cost I pay at the post office.
Insurance is your option as a buyer. International customers, please keep in mind that you can only insure your item if you ship Express, which can be very expensive. Please contact me if you would prefer this option.
