Carole King at 21 years old conducted the entire album which is Little Eva’s debut album.

Eva was the babysitter for the young couple of Carole King and Gerry Goffin. As Carole worked on the piano Eva picked up quickly on the melody and began creating dance steps. Gerry, reminded of a train motion hurriedly wrote down lyrics to go along with the rhythms. Eva tried the lyrics with the music – thusly “The Locomotion” was born rocketing Eva Boyd’s talent to the forefront to become the country’s brightest new singing star. Suddenly Eva Narcissus Boyd became “Little Eva”. She went on to make many more records but this album would always be special since it was her “FIRST”. The album was well orchestrated to show Eva’s talents on other songs which became a masterpiece work.
