Description

This auction is for a 45 by Linda Scott. This is her VERY FIRST 45 from 1960 under her real name Linda Sampson. This is a promo 45 on Epic Records-number 5-9341. Titled "In Between Teen/Lover Of The Year".  "In Between Teen" is a nice slow rock and roll ballad. The flip side is uptempo with a rock and roll calypso beat. The vinyl is in VERY GOOD PLUS condition with light scratches and scuffs. Both sides play great with minimal surface noise. The labels are in very good plus condition with a small number label on both sides. This is a very rare and hard to find record that is not seen on ebay very often!

Linda started out singing on The Arthur Godfrey Show under her real name of Linda Sampson which landed her a contract at Epic for this record in 1960.  After lack of success and a name change to Linda Scott, she signed with Congress records in 1961 and recorded her big hit "I've Told Every Little Star". Linda hung around the business until 1969 releasing four albums and a slew of singles for Congress, Canadian American, Kapp and RCA records.  She continued to have singles released in the UK thru 1972 on the CBS and Bell Labels.  Today Linda lives in upstate New York and does not want anything to do with showbiz anymore!

Shipping and Handling will be 3.50. Thanks for looking!
