Description
- Limited edition rare collectible
- Genuine, original signed vinyl LP record box set
- Certificate of authenticity, individually numbered (no 655 of only 2000 produced) personally signed by Herbert Von Karajan in blue ink, as seen in photographs
- Recording of Beethoven 9 symphonies with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Herbert Von Karajan
- 9 vinyl box set in cream leather box with cream silk taffeta lining
- Box is protected by a clear Perspex cover which has an embossed copy of Karajan’s signature as well as the yellow Deutsche Grammophon logo, along with the text ‘recorded in the Berlin Philharmonic Hall’
- There is an LP interview record, ‘Das Interview’ 2810 068 (English writing on one side of the sleeve, German on the other)
- The Perspex box is in excellent condition with no cracks and the cream leather box is also in excellent condition except for a small tear in the foam protective inner lining which happened due to the age of this item
- The outer cardboard box has some marks as can be clearly seen in the photographs
- Includes 40 page glossy colour booklet, 12” square, with an introduction to Karajan and his work, biography chapter about Beethoven, full comprehensive details of all nine Beethoven symphonies, a biography of Karajan accompanied by a number of full page colour photographs, a section on the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra with photographs, an introduction to all members and their instrumental roles, the booklet is in mint condition
- There is also a 12” x 24” fold out poster, in mint condition
