Description
This is the original deep groove pressing of Lester Young “The Greatest” on Intro ILP-603. The first track on Side 1 is ticky; a scuff on tracks 4-5 is inaudible; Side 2 looks as new; however, typical of Intro pressings, there is a light surface noise throughout that does not interfere with the music. The coated frame cover shows light shelf wear on the back; neat 8” repair on the bottom seam. Lester Young’s signature is at the bottom right corner of the front. This record comes from the estate of Lester’s personal physician. Personnel include Gene DiNovi, Chuck Wayne, Curley Russell, and Tiny Kahn. $250.00.
