Les Mamans Du Congo & Rrobin (Yellow)
description DetailsDebut album of the five-person project LES MAMANS DU CONGO from Congo around GLADYS SAMBA together with the French hip-hop and electronic producer RROBIN. Traditional and spiritual world-africa-music meets hip-hop, complex rhythms and electronic elements. Appears as LP on JARRING EFFECTS. LES MAMANS DU CONGO was founded in Congo in 2018 with the support of the Institut Français and the Coopérative de Mai. With the help of the French label JARRING EFFECTS, RROBIN, known primarily from hip-hop and breakbeat productions with GREMS, SPOEK MATHAMBO or NANCY FORTUNE, was introduced to the ensemble around GLADYS SAMBA and the production of the debut album 'Les Mamans du Congo & Rrobin' started directly. The goal of this concept album is the hitherto unprecedented mixture of traditional and cultural music from the Congo with modern hip-hop and electronic elements, whereby cultural elements of the Congo in particular should also be transported outside of Africa. Technically very innovative in terms of production, a very interesting and at the same time diverse album succeeds, which is unique in its form. Tip!

about us
Our founding year 1998 - long after vinyl was declared dead and long before vinyl was hailed as cool again - proves that we are real vinyl nerds. We only started out as a small record dealer from home. Later we opened our first real record shop and then of course our own online shop. Everything with passion and always with the motto: SAVE THE VINYL. What is not available online is available in our Übersee store, Frühlingsweg 22. Overseas? Yes. Übersee Am Chiemsee. Right on the A8 autobahn, between Munich and Salzburg. Here you will also find a fine range of second-hand vinyl. We also have a large selection of equipment from many manufacturers. Simply everything you need for everything to do with vinyl...
