Lee Scratch Perry & The Upsetters 3 x 10” Box Set Scratch And Company Chapter 1

Label is Clock Tower, catalogue number is LPCT0114-10. Sealed Box set, 3 10” records pressed is 2013.

Mint condition. Limited to 2000 copies on a variety of coloured vinyl: green, yellow, grey, pink, lilac and black, sorry this is sealed so I don’t know what colour these are, most were mixed colours. Guessing its black vinyl as its not stickered coloured vinyl but cant be sure.

Placed within legendary reggae producer Lee “Scratch” Perry’s prolific discography, The Upsetters Chapter 1 stands out as one of the eccentric genius’s most interesting, adventurous works. Using a combination of established collaborators and new musicians (including greats like Aston “Family Man” Barrett & Earl “Chinna” Smith), Perry created a classic dub record that pulses with deep bass, echoing percussion and dissonant sound effects. Spiritual cuts (“When Jah Come”) are balanced by grand dub productions (“Tighten Up”), creating a cohesive, infectious sound that makes this among the Upsetters finest material. 

ClockTower now gives this masterpiece from dub’s supreme musical architect the deluxe triple 10” reissue treatment with the vinyl housed in a durable box with magnetic clasp. This is the ultimate version of a landmark release.
