Lee “Scratch” Perry – Chicken Scratch
Original 1989 U.S. LP on Heartbeat Records, catalog HB‑53. Classic ska/early reggae compilation of Lee “Scratch” Perry’s Studio One era recordings, featuring backing from members of The Skatalites, The Wailers, and other top Jamaican musicians. Essential roots reggae / ska LP for collectors and fans of vintage Jamaican music.
Record is graded EX (excellent): vinyl has high gloss with only a few very light sleeve scuffs visible under strong light, no feelable scratches, and should play clean with minimal surface noise. Labels are clean and bright Heartbeat green with sharp text and no writing or stickers.
Jacket is graded VG+ (very good plus): solid, fully readable spine with minor edge and corner wear, light ring wear and small surface marks on the front and back, no major splits or water damage. Original plain inner sleeve included (see photos for exact condition). Colors on the front cover—six portrait panels with “LEE ‘SCRATCH’ PERRY – CHICKEN SCRATCH” and Studio One logo—are still vibrant and present well.
