Description

This is the deep-groove, RVG-etched “P”-pressing of Lee Morgan “Volume 3” on the West 63rd St. (no NY23) labels of Blue Note BLP 1557. Even though the playing surface does not have the luster usually found on Blue Note records, there appears to be no groove wear and the record plays as new – bright and clear throughout; Side 2 has double-struck labels. The laminated cover has the West 63rd St. address: 4” split/wear in the center of the spine; ¼” wear at the lower right corner and slight wear at the other corners; lamination flaking along the right edge of the front; the back slick shows light shelf wear.
