Description

This is an early deep-groove RVG-etched “P” pressing of Lee Morgan “Volume 3” on the New York 23 labels of Blue Note BLP 1557. The beaded rim playing surfaces are in beautiful unmarked condition, with just a few splotches on Side 2 that are typical of records that have been long stored in their original inner sleeves. The laminated cover has the West 63rd St., New York 23 address: there are a few tiny lamination cracks (no splits or flaking) along the spine; 3 ½” split on the bottom seam, at the opening; 1/8” chip on the front, along the opening; a few small brown spot along the right edge of the back slick.
