Description
This is the deep-groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of Lee Morgan “Sextet” on the Lexington Avenue (no “INC”) labels of Blue Note BLP 1541. The beaded rim playing surface has a small inaudible scuff on Side 1, Track 2, and three inaudible scuffs on Side 2, track 1; otherwise, the surface has a high luster and appears to be played once or twice. The reverse-frame Lexington Avenue cover is bright and clean throughout; small writing next to tune titles on the back slick; the top seam has very light rubbing and 1” split at the spine; the spine has rubbing/flaking, ½” wear, a 3” split along the upper 2/3; the bottom seam has a neat 3 ¼” repair at the opening.
